How do I register for GAME DAY?
On the GAME DAY homepage, click on “Register for GAME DAY.” Once on that page, click on the appropriate forms and download them. Follow the directions on that page and you will have no problems. Getting ready for GAME DAY is easy!
Will there be a GAME DAY coaches meeting?
NOPE! All needed information will be distributed to the coaches prior to GAME DAY. We want you to show up prepared for the big day and not have to worry about attending a coaches meeting!
What is the TIME OUT division all about?
This idea is HOT! The TIME OUT division was primarily created for school and rec/youth league teams who do not compete regularly, but still may have some material that is used for performances during a game time out situation. The TIME OUT division gives these teams a way to still compete with that type of material rather than having to perform a full routine. The time limit for this division is 1:00 and TIME OUT divisions are offered for both cheer and dance performances. Teams may enter both a TIME OUT division and a standard, full routine division. See “GAME DAY Divisions & Guidelines” for more info including exact divisions offered, age breakdowns and the type of material that is recommended for the TIME OUT division.
 Do we have to wear official uniforms to compete at GAME DAY?
100% NOT NECESSARY! While many teams may wear their official uniforms, it is not a necessity to be able to compete. Your team can wear any type of team oriented gear including official cheer uniforms, dance costumes, camp outfits, game day team clothing, etc.
What if my GAME DAY routine is more of a “traditional” style of cheer routine?
GAME DAY would like to offer separate divisions for SHOW (all music style) and TRADITIONAL (contains some form of a cheer/chant without music) cheer routines. Ultimately, the number of teams registered in each division will dictate whether we are able to offer separate divisions for SHOW and TRADITIONAL. Please indicate on your GAME DAY Registration Form what style of cheer routine you have. You will be contacted prior to the event if your division is split as mentioned above.
What is the routine time limit?
All standard cheer and dance divisions have a 2:30 time limit. The only exception is the TIME OUT division which has a 1:00 time limit. There will also be a 5 second grace period offered for all teams.
Will my team get any practice time?
YES! All teams will be assigned a specific practice time prior to their performance. The practice floor will be identical to the performance floor (54’ wide X 44’ deep foam floor for cheer teams). Each team will have adequate stretching time prior to their designated practice time.
Does GAME DAY have any specialty divisions for cheer individuals or stunts and/or dance solos or duets/trios?
Absolutely! GAME DAY is offering many specialty divisions in both cheer and dance. On the cheer side, GAME DAY will offer several divisions for individuals and group stunts as well as a division for partner stunts. On the dance side, GAME DAY will offer several divisions for solos and duets/trios. Please go to the "GAME DAY Divisions" page for more info!
Will we be competing for awards at GAME DAY?
ABSOLUTELY! This is a competition and many awards will be given out throughout the day including a GAME DAY award for each and every team! Individual athletes will also be recognized for their stellar GAME DAY performances! More info on awards will be available soon! Check back for details.
What will GAME DAY be like for me and my team?
GAME DAY is all about bringing the excitement and feel of some of the world’s biggest and most wild-n-crazy sporting events to the cheer and dance competition arena. This sports themed cheer and dance competition will be entertaining, fun, competitive and exhilarating! Most athletes thrive in anticipation of GAME DAY. This will be no different. It’s time to show your game cheerleaders and dancers…you better BRING IT!
What type of floor will be performing on at GAME DAY?
All cheer teams will be competing on a standard, full-size foam floor (non-spring) and all dance teams will be competing on either a wood basketball floor or a marly dance floor.

How much will it cost for me and my family to attend GAME DAY?
Spectators will be charged as follows: Ages 4 and under are FREE, Ages 5-12 and 60+ are $5 and Ages 13-59 are $7. No advance ticket sales are available…all admissions must be paid at the door on the day of the event. Cash only please.
Can I videotape or take photographs at the event?
YES, videotaping and photography ARE allowed at GAME DAY!
Are noisemakers, signs and decorations allowed at GAME DAY?
SURE! This is a spirit event, right? In fact, we encourage you to bring signs, team banners, crazy-dressed fans, good luck messages, etc. Special awards can be earned by participating in the spirit of the GAME DAY event…make sure you do what you can to earn one of the GAME DAY Loud Crowd Awards! |
